Learn how to create natural, simple, timeless photos of families that transcend industry trends.

In this course, Elena introduces you to her style of family photography called “Lifestyle,” which focuses on human connection over perfection.

The only thing you need to execute this style of family photography is your camera. That’s it! You’ll learn how to create amazing family photographs without using any artificial lights, reflectors, posing aids, or props. And, the entirety of these sessions are done in the great outdoors.

You’ll get to see Elena photograph three family sessions from start to finish. You’ll hear EXACTLY what she says and see EXACTLY how she works with real clients.

You’ll also see Elena’s culling process for each session, so you can see what the images look like straight out of camera, as well as be able to pause the culling video to see her settings on any of the photos you see.

Finally, you’ll get access to the completely edited galleries as well, so you can see exactly what was delivered to the client.

“Thanks so much Elena, I love how many choices of images you make with each family. And yes you are in Seattle, I would love to see you shoot in bright sunlight and watch how you handle that. Thanks so much!”

“I loved watching Elena work! She makes it look so effortlessly and easy. I know that is down to a lot of experience, but it's something to work towards. She also doesn't waste too much on one certain pose or combination, but just - so easily - goes with the flow of the people in front of her camera. I admire that. Having started with analog photography ( a long time ago :o), I still (!!!) have a hard time to just shoot away the way she does. I counted she took more than 1200 photos in the course of maybe an hour? That's a lot of culling, but more important it also means she can keep up with the rhythm of the session, get these incredibly authentic portraits and doesn't need to overcome countless tantrums because the session takes way too long for the little ones. I have learned so much from this! Thanks Elena, Sue and your great teams for offering this tutorial!”
